New for 2026, Adventures by Disney is adding two new tours to its global lineup. And I can’t think of two better new destinations for the storytelling and style of ABD than Greece and Switzerland. The new tours will launch with a mix of family tours and all-adult departures.
Here’s a quick summary of each:
Greece: The eight-day Greece: Mythology of Athens, Peloponnese & Rhodes tour includes trips to historical sights like Athens’ Acropolis and the Colossus of Rhodes along with adventures like snorkeling over underwater archaeological sites, and soaking up the vibes of small towns and fishing villages. There will be six family departures and four adult-exclusive tours in 2026.
Switzerland: The eight-day Switzerland tour that mixes alpine hikes, culinary experiences like Swiss chocolate making workshops and fondue feasts, private tours of a medieval castle, kayaking and swimming in alpine lakes, and a trip to the Olympic Museum–which, among other things, helped to inspire the Disney Parks’ pin trading tradition. In 2026 there are six family departures and three adult-exclusive departures.
TourScoop takeaway
I’ve traveled with Adventures by Disney with my family to Peru (read about my experience). Before my first journey with the company, I was a little worried about the Disneyfication of a thousands-year-old civilization. But what I quickly came to realize is that the tour company gets its Disney DNA from its commitment to storytelling, not through rides or characters.
Which is part of why I think these two country tours make so much sense. Greece is so rich in mythology and documented history, and podcasts like Greeking Out along with books series like Percy Jackson and Goddess Girls are engaging a whole new generation of travelers. For example, Greece is that the top of the travel list for my 11-year-old daughter. Not Hawaii or a theme park or London, but Greece, specifically because she loves the stories. And I feel sure that Disney is going to do a great job bringing history, mythology, and contemporary culture to life in a way that resonates for both kids and adults on this new tour.
I also love the choice of Switzerland, and suspect it’s going to be particularly popular with Disney diehards who will savor the chance to see the real-life landscapes that inspired the Disneys—landscapes like the Matterhorn. On a practical note, it can be expensive and logistically challenging to get around Switzerland (I did it last year on my own and it was amazing but also a lot to juggle), which makes the ease of a tour even more appealing.
