Adventures by Disney has a mix of land adventures, river cruises, and expedition cruises to farther flung destinations like the Galapagos, the Arctic, and the Antarctic. Now, the tour company has announced a new expedition cruise to its lineup, this one an Adriatic Sea sailing that starts in Venice and visits seven ports in Croatia and Montenegro.

Two eight-day, seven-night sailings in summer 2024 have been announced, both aboard the PONANT ship Le Bougainville, a smaller ship designed to access remote locations.

Excursions on the itinerary include a stop in Korcula to taste local oysters (Mali Ston) and Hvar for kayaking the Pakleni Islands. There’s also biking through vineyards in the UNESCO World Heritage Site Stari Grad Plain, exploring Montenegro’s Boka Bay by catamaran, and getting subterranean at Slovenia’s underground labyrinth in Postojna Cave (and, according to Disney, “discovering the ‘dragons’ that call it home”).  Booking opens October 27, 2022.

So we’re excited to see the company expanding more into the expedition cruise space with smaller ships and off-the-beaten-path destinations.
