Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) has expanded its portfolio of Small Group Journeys for 2027, adding nine new itineraries around the world. That includes new tours to European destinations beyond the typical much-visited hot spots.

“For 2027, to meet the continued demand for Europe, we are looking beyond the expected with itineraries in less-explored regions such as Eastern Europe, while reimagining how guests experience perennial favorites like Italy through deeper access and more thoughtful pacing,” says Suzanne Teng, director of global group product at Abercrombie & Kent.

The new 12-day Armenia and Georgia: Cultures of the Caucasus trip explores the two former Soviet republics. In addition to enjoying the region’s spectacular scenery, travelers can sip rare wines in Georgia, visit awe-inspiring churches in Armenia, and sample the diverse region’s cuisine.

The 11-day Cultural Landscapes of Albania and North Macedonia journey includes visits to the recently opened Mother Teresa Memorial House and UNESCO-listed Gjirokastra, the “City of Stones.” Mountain vistas and the turquoise Adriatic Sea serve as backdrops for dining on Balkan cuisine and learning about the legacy of the Ottoman Empire and the region’s tradition of religious tolerance.

The new Italian Treasures: Venice to Amalfi tour takes travelers off the beaten path and features exclusive tours and insider access to sites like Rome’s Villa Medici. And during the Poland: Witness to History trip, guests will enjoy a guided tour of medieval Malbork Castle, a back-streets food tour of Warsaw, and a private Chopin recital.

Beyond Europe, the new trips will help meet the rising demand A&K has been seeing for experiential luxury, with options to travel through Malaysia by luxury rail and explore Alaska’s still-wild frontier by foot, by road, and in the air. There’s a new Family Adventure in Southern Africa with kid-friendly activities not available on other group journeys (like a veterinarian-led rhino conservation experience) and a new Ultimate South Africa Adventure that offers curated experiences focused on food and wine, nature, marine life, and wildlife.

With these new additions, Abercrombie & Kent will offer a total of 85 Small Group Journeys in 2027 with an average of 14 travelers per tour. Each Small Group Journey includes handpicked accommodations available only to smaller groups, private arrival and departure transfers, complimentary mid-journey laundry service, and the company’s Travelling Bell Boy service to transfer luggage between accommodations. Plus, every A&K Small Group Journey is guaranteed to depart with a minimum of two guests.

TourScoop takeway: With overtourism an issue in many popular European destinations, offering tours to equally appealing but more off-the-radar destinations is a smart move. And we love when a company listens to what travelers are asking for and delivers, like A&K is doing wth its focus on luxury experiences.
