Born in Colombia, and raised between the mountains of Bogota and the beaches of Miami, I'm a cultural in-betweener. This can make for frequent identity crises but has also come in handy as I've moved around the world, living in cities like New York, Paris, and Seoul. My work has appeared on NBC Digital, Thrillist, Tripadvisor, Apartment Therapy, The Spruce Eats, Fodor's, the Writer, and Marriott Bonvoy Traveler, amongst others. I was an editorial fellow for Atlas Obscura and am a former staff writer for Far & Wide. Besides writing, I've worked at an alternative school, copy-edited for an art foundation, and taught English in different countries. I've also mastered the art of karaoke, managed to become a decent tango dancer, and picked up a few languages along the way. You can usually find me at street food stands, judging fashion inaccuracies in period films, or falling victim to my non-existing sense of direction.
