Due to popular demand, the company is offering new Greece tours to 18-to-35 year olds.

Contiki is one of the few tour companies (I’m saying tour company but it calls itself a “social travel company”) running trips specifically for 18-35 year olds. Greece is increasingly on the radar of younger travelers–Contiki reports a 40% boost in popularity in 2022. And due to this popular demand, the company is adding six new Greece tours starting in April 2023.

Here’s the rundown of the new offerings:

  • Greek Island Hopping Plus is an upgraded version of Contiki’s Greek Island Hopping tour. The Plus version swaps out hostel accommodations for twin-share stays in four-star hotels. There’s also a new version of the trip, Spotlight on Greece & Greek Island Hopping Plus, that includes stops in mainland Greece.
  • Athens to Santorini Plus is an upgraded version of the company’s popular Spotlight on Greece. As with Greek Island Hopping Plus, the “Plus” refers to twin-share accommodations in four-star hotels rather than multi-share rooms in hostels.  There’s also a version of the trip, Spotlight on Greece & Athens to Santorini Plus, that includes more stops in mainland Greece.
  • Greek Explorer is an 11-day trip that goes deep on Greece, and includes stops that shine a spotlight on ancient history, nature, and traditional villages. It stops in Corfu, the Meteora monasteries, and includes a rafting trip on the River Voidomatis.
  • Athens, Naxos & Crete is an island-hopping trip that explores some of the country’s lesser-known spots including small villages, Samaria Gorge, and the Koufonisia ‘Hollow’ Islands.

TourScoop Takeaway

Because there’s so much transportation when it comes to Greece, a tour is a great way to simplify the experience while making it as rich and varied as possible. Contiki doing the heavy lifting for 18-to-35-year-old travelers is a great fit, and the new variety of tours makes it easier to find that just-right fit.
