The theme is new year, new savings with a lot of tour companies this January. Here’s an alphabetical-order roundup of what I’ve found (I’ll add as I find more):

Abercrombie & Kent: Rather than offering across the board savings, Abercrombie & Kent has discounts on particular tours in 2024 and 2025, including Arctic and Africa tours. It also has sales on solo traveler tour spots.

Adventures by Disney: Only sort of a New Years sale, Adventures by Disney is offering an all-year sale for tours booked by January 6, 2025. The per-person discount ranges from $150 to $500, depending on the tour type.

Brendan Vacations: Celtic travel expert Brendan Vacations’ Big Travel Sale is discounting Ireland and Scotland tours up to 20%. Discounted tour types include guided, private, and self-drive itineraries.

CIE Tours: CIE Tours’ New Year, New Adventures sale has savings up to $600 per person with the purchase of airfare on select tours. The sale runs through the end of January.

Contiki: Young traveler tour operator Contiki’s current sale is for individual tours and departure dates rather than across-the-board savings. On-sale tour destinations include South Africa and Thailand as well as multi-country Europe tours.

Cosmos: For bookings made through March 4 for travel through December 30, 2024, Cosmos guests can save $400 per couple on select North American and European tours. Discounted tours include The Camino, a Walking Journey for the Soul and Venice, Slovenia, Croatia & Montenegro.

Costsaver: Costsavers’ Big Tour Sale offers 15% to 20% off tours to destinations around the world. Discounted tours include Highlights of Scandinavia, Peru Explorer, and Fall Colours of New England.

Exodus Adventure Travels: Exodus’ 2024 Trailblazer Event offers up to $450 off select departures for tours booked by January 10, 2024.

G Adventures: Adventure tour operator G Adventures has a Great Adventure Sale, with up to 25% off on select tours, including destinations like The Galapagos, Bali, and Australia

Globus: Globus’ Dream. Discover. Sales Event packages a number of sales into a big sale. All offers are for bookings made by March 2 for trips through December 30, 2024. Savings range from $300 to $1,000 per couples, depending on the tour type.

Grand Circle Travel: The New Years Savings sale offers a discount of $750 per person on any 2024 departure on any of Grand Circle’s three brands: Grand Circle Cruise Line, Grand Circle Travel, and Overseas Adventure Travel.

Lindblad Expeditions: Lindblad’s New Year, New Perspective sale on 2024 and 2025 voyages combines 40% off solo cabins, a 10% discount when you pay in full, and a credit up to $2,000 for trips booked by March 13.

Insight Vacations: Insights Vacations’ Big Tour Sale offers 15% to 20% off tours to destinations around the world, including an easy-pace tour of Spain and America’s Magnificent National Parks.

Trafalgar: Trafalgar’s Big Tour Sale (it’s owned by the same company as Insight and Costsaver, and has the same New Year’s sale) offers 15% to 20% off select tours around the world.

Travel Talk Tours: Travel Talk is offering a two-for-one sale, so when you book a tour for one person you can add a second person at no additional cost. For solo travelers, there are discounts up to 45%.

Viking: Through the end of January, Viking is offering free international airfare and additional savings of up to $800 on tours in 2024, 2025, and 2026.

TourScoop Takeaway

If you’ve been eyeing a tour for this year, this is a great time to book it at what is likely to be one of the best prices of the year. Bonus for river and expedition cruises: Booking early offers you the most stateroom options, so you’re more likely to find something that fits your preferences and budget.
